Hi Ben
I'm not that keen on gory films but I can watch them where there seems to be a point to it. Best example I can think of is LA Confidential. Some of the violence in that was totally sickening and it wasn't always the "bad guys" doling it out. But, it did fit in with the plot and storyline so I could still enjoy the film.
I don't even see a coherent plot to Pulp Fiction. It's just a series of short pieces loosely linked by a few common characters. IMHO.
You'll have to watch it so you can tell me I'm talking rubbish!

Haha. Believe I have it recorded somewhere from sometime so I'll watch it soon if I can find it. I like a bit of violence and gore. Its swearing that gets to me. You know, when they say F*** in every sentence. Oh my god. It just annoys me. Not that its a swear word, just that they keep saying it. They could say 'soup' in every sentence and I'd be annoyed.
Last film I saw was Sunshine (think that's the name). Didn't think much to it at all. Neither did Dad. Wasn't very good.
Saw Red Eye recently which was ok. And Kill Bill, which was weird but good. Not amazing, but enjoyable. Weird though.

Just watched Victor/Victoria - an old Julie Andrews film, from her flop years (which everyone seems to forget about incidently). I think it was one of her most successful films from around then... I loved it anyway! It's hilarious and her acting in it is the best I've seen.
