"WEST End star Niamh Perry is to return to the youth theatre group she trained with to host its first ever fully staged production at the Grand Opera House in Belfast.
The Bangor girl, who recently landed the role of Sophie in hit musical Mamma Mia, will be back with Music Theatre for Youth (MT4Uth) when its members perform Godspell on Sunday.
Niamh hit the headlines when she reached the finals of the BBC show I'd Do Anything, along with Belfast girl Rachel Tucker. Niamh has been a member of MT4Uth since 2005 and was made the organisations's Young Person's Patron this year. The award-winning organisation held open auditions at the beginning of the year and selected 50 of the most talented young people from across Ireland and Northern Ireland to form the cast of Godspell.
In only eight days the young people will rehearse and stage a fun and contemporary version of the 1970s musical by Stephen Schwartz, composer of Broadway and West End hit musical Wicked.
MT4Uth Founder and CEO Jenny Cooke said: "Based on the talent that our auditions for Godspell uncovered across Ireland, our forthcoming production is sure to be a huge success."
"Niamh is a true inspiration to all our members showing that with dedication, hard work, commitment and top-level training, you can achieve an outstanding career in music theatre."

Here's a radio interview I just found that talks a bit about it as well, among other stuff. It's quite a good interview, very sweet. Listen now because it's only up for one more day! (I would have put it here earlier, if I hadn't been out of the country with no computer and all). It starts at 0.22

Awww Niamh's so enthusiastic, although was she talking on the phone? The quality on her part was a bit fuzzy :( so I couldn't get all the words she said, but she sounds like she loves her job sooo much
