Just arrived home.
4 hours ago i was watching and hearing Niamh. It was a magical and wonderful night. Very, very special. I am suffering from what i call "post concert depression" which is something i get after i've seen a band i've been looking forward to seeing for months, and then suddenly... it's over. And i feel that way now. But at the same time, i had a wonderful night and it was amazing to see and hear her sing live... with my own eyes and ears. I can't wait to see her again. Hopefully in something next year. I won't say anymore now, i'll write up a bigger piece and post it in a few days.
Niamh, you're AMAZING!!!!!

I didn't meet Niamh, Kat. That would have been nice. There wasn't any time to do anything after the show. I was on the train to come home literally 20 minutes after the show finished. Could have stayed in London an extra night but it would have cost more. I will definitely try to meet her next time i see her. Obviously you can't take photos/videos at a musical so i had to write my experience down anyway. Hope it isn't too long and boring. Thank you Amy!
Ricky, but you've not exactly done much of those things have you. And the things you have done seem to have been a spur of the moment thing. Anyway, it is a strange feeling. I shouldn't feel down after seeing Niamh, but i did. And i'm sure i'll feel the same tomorrow night after seeing Muse. Remember i posted on here the morning i got the tickets to see them, months ago! So i've been waiting for months since i ordered the tickets and it's actually been over 2 years since i last saw them. 16th June 2007 to be more precise. I cannot wait. It's a very big deal for me. 24 hours time and i'll be about to leave to see Muse. That just blows my mind! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obQZOhcREYM
Ricky, as i said on here, i used the opportunity of going to London to see Niamh to also see a Leicester game in London. So i went to the Queens Park Rangers game on Friday night. It was only my 8th away game ever. Of the previous 7, Leicester had only won 1 of them. And that was in 2004. So it was a great experience! After the game, us Leicester fans were walking through the streets of West London still singing! It's great to go to an away game and watch your team win. There was about 500 Leicester fans there, and 17,000 QPR fans. It's great to ruin their party! We're 4th in the table. Only lost 2 games. Middlesbrough have lost 5, and even Newcastle have lost 3. I did say before that we just need to start winning more, instead of drawing and we've won the last 3 games so we're starting to do that. I think we can WIN the Championship. We have West Brom on Saturday! Win that and we'll go 3rd at least, probably 2nd!

That was a really great account you wrote, Ben! It should be published, lol. I was entertained by your piece - and I can't wait to see Niamh. I think my mum and I are going up London in a few week's time...maybe. Depends on circumstance Anyone know when Niamh finishes her contract on Mamma Mia?
Will have to comment on your account later in full ;) I have to revise for the BMAT (Biomedical Admissions Test for Oxbridge) for tomorrow! See you all later!

Loved your review also, Ben! Hopefully you'll have plenty of other chances to get her autograph!
Katzie, I read that Niamh finishes December 12th, so there's still time to see her! How was the BMAT then? I honestly have no clue how the ELAT was... all the other english classes at my school had practised for it except mine, and now it seems that everyone in my year who took it compared the exact same 2 passages except me I don't know, it's only 1 of my 5 choices and it's not the end of the world if I don't make it to the interview. Oh well. It could have gone worse, I guess...

Eeep there is still time to see Niamh! Woop!
BMAT was hard! For our essay (third section) I wrote about why 'it's preposterous that rich people can buy better medical care than the poor' (although the word used wasn't preposterous...I can't remember what it was. It was a word to that effect) and say why the poor can also buy medical care. It was awful cramming all those words in - we were limited to only one side of A4! and the other two sections, one on aptitude and the other on maths/science knowledge had too many questions and not enough time, so I ended up guessing. A few of those I actually knew too x_x at least it's over now! No more exams until January :P
A few people in our room were doing the ELAT too! I was thinking all that time that ELAT was law (despite you having told me before that it's English) and thinking it peculiar 'cos LNAT (which I thought was the ELAT xD) was meant to be done on the computer, lol. Anyway. What did you have to compare? Poems? Prose? Novel extracts? Shakespeare (*shudders*)? Did you find it hard?

One side of A4? That really sounds like nothing, and I know that that's exactly the way to make my writing even more illegible, cramming it in like that! I heard from some people in my year taking the BMAT that there was no time to do any more than about half the questions So I wouldn't worry about that. The ELAT theme for this year was time/death etc so that's easy to waffle about at least. There was poetry, prose extracts and one shakespeare piece that we could choose from - I picked a poem and a prose piece, but everyone else did 2 poems I know what you mean about the shakespeare, one of the practice papers from a past year was shakespeare themed! I would die if I had to prac crit a passage of his! As it was, I'm thinking more and more about all the things I did wrong, but there's not much point doing that From what I hear the HAT (history) was absolutely horrendous!

Kat, glad you think what i wrote should be published. Where do you think i should send it? I hope you get to see her very soon Kat. I know it's difficult but really try not to miss out on seeing her in Mamma Mia. She does a super job and it's really great to see her.
Ricky, Duffy not spur of the moment?! I was the one that had to persuade you to go. You ended up having to get the tickets from ebay a few weeks before the gig! Enjoy Little Boots. Seeing Muse at a festival is one thing, seeing them at their own concert is another. I could ramble on for hours like i did with Niamh but all i'll say is this: Muse are 100%, definitely, completely the greatest live band in the world. They are stunning, mind boggling and i don't understand why no other band even gets close to Muse as live performers. They're unbelievable! Not my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDIKRyQunF4 But i was there!!! That is music. Matt Bellamy is a GENIUS.
Zippy, i'll definitely be meeting Niamh one day. No doubt about that. Unless she runs off!
Good luck Kat and Zippy with all that above. I'm afraid i don't understand but i'm sure it'll all work out well.

You saw Little Boots at Leeds festival, yes? And the other, when was that? I think you'll see a difference between festival and proper concert. Some more so than others, obviously. Muse are a good example of needing to see them in a proper concert to fully experience them. If they are close to Leeds next year Ricky, i'll be there. I've already travelled to London just to see Muse. They're amazing!
We were so unlucky yesterday against West Brom. We lost 2-1 which i'm sure you've seen Ricky. If we had won, we'd have gone second! Yes, you read correctly, we'd have gone SECOND! 2 of our midfielders went off injured in the first half (one broke his arm) and we couldn't cope after that. West Brom are a very good team after all. We're 6th, but level on points with the team in 3rd so we're still right up there!

When I think 'concert' I think of musical theatre performers singing showtunes to a piano or mini orchestra with the audience silently watching from their seats. That'll be different from about 99% of people my age Although the one I saw a week or so ago was very good! And Judi Dench was in the theatre lobby!

No I didn't, Ricky. I'm sure every other person in the lobby wanted to ask her, but it was quite obvious that she wasn't there to sign hundreds of tickets and didn't want to be drowned by people asking. Maybe if some other people had asked her I would have done also, but as it was I didn't want to be the only person not respecting her right to a normal night out at the theatre

I dreamt of Niamh last night. I can't remember much of it, but it was one of those dreams where i knew it was her. I knew it was Niamh, or it was meant to be Niamh, if you get what i mean. I remember i wanted to go and speak to her.
Zippy, i've been to concerts where we sit. I prefer not sitting. It seems wrong. Even for James Blunt, it felt wrong just to be sitting there, in silence. It's weird. I'm seeing Regina Spektor in a few weeks and i guess we'll be sitting for that. I love her and i guess it fits with her music and i'm looking forward to it, but i prefer concerts with explosions, flames, lasers and where we can stand and sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH0GK0FX ... re=related Obviously the whole concert isn't like that, even Muse slow it down in the middle with songs like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6rNeSYwohc It was amazing!
Ricky, a former Leicester player was in the West Brom team, yes. It happens all the time. We recently played against Paddy McCarthy at Crystal Palace and beat them 2-0, Iain Hume at Barnsley and beat them 2-1, Robbie Savage at Derby and got a 0-0 draw and Mark Yeates at Middlesbrough and beat them 1-0. And his name is Joe Mattock. Getting to the final of the Johnstone Paint Trophy isn't much to celebrate Ricky. Though i guess you've not had much to celebrate in recent years. Equal 3rd in the Championship, that's all i'm going to say, equal 3rd in the Championship! Got tickets for Leeds yet? http://www.leedsunited.com/page/LatestTicketNews Oh and to rub it in even more my friend, how are you enjoying Max Gradel at Leeds? You know, the Max Gradel who we let you have on loan because he's not good enough for us! Hehe.

i too have been to concerts where u sit but for most of the night i was stood lol i prefer standing at concerts it just makes the atmosphere better.
And yes we havent had that much to celebrate but this season is looking good for us and for you too! and no have not got tickets yet as im too busy at the mo with working most saturdays. but hopefully soon i will have time to go.
aww the dream sounds nice. bet u wish it was real though

Ricky, you've only been to 4 concerts! Haven't you? Duffy, Little Boots (twice) and The Saturdays. Which ones had seating? Or have you secretly been to more concerts? I agree that standing makes the atmosphere better. When i go to an arena show, the seating sections are obviously seated but for example last week at Muse, as soon as Muse came out everyone stood up. But at James Blunt everyone stayed seated and it felt really weird. I have my 25th concert next week! My first one was Muse in Birmingham on the 15th November 2006. Nearly my 3rd anniversary!
Yes, this season is looking very good for you. Too good, it's starting to annoy me. You've got 96 points to beat though Ricky, which is what Leicester got last season. And you didn't give me an answer but here's my answer: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 354976.stm You don't have to go to a Saturday match, why not the next match which is a Tuesday night?
Yes, the dream will be a reality one day. I know it will.

oh yeah sorry Ben, we are enoying max gradel thnx lol did u think we would start the season really rubbish and feeling sorry for ourselves lol i may go to some tuesday matches, i will see.
I i have only been to 2 proper concerts and saw LB at Party in the Park and Leeds Fest which are technically not concerts lol. there were seating at the saturdays gig but most people including me stood up all the time lol
Just been to the switching on of the Leeds xmas lights and it was brilliant, it was Pixie Lott who eas turning them on and she was amazing!

"did u think we would start the season really rubbish and feeling sorry for ourselves" Like last season? Nah, you won't go to any matches, whether it be Saturday afternoon, Tuesday evening or Thursday morning. Never mind.
You've been to 2 concerts. Wait until you've been to at least 6 before you start commenting on what types you prefer. But i agree with you anyway. I can't believe they would have seating at The Saturdays. I definitely think you'll be standing for Sexy Little Boots.
Hasn't Pixie Lott done well for herself. Turning on the Christmas lights in Leeds. Wow. Is she from Leeds? *checks* No, she's from London. What the hell is she doing turning the Christmas lights on in Leeds?!

your so funny ben! well Pixie was actually a replacement for Alexandra Burke she pullled out luckily so we had Pixie, did u know Leeds has the largest xmas light display in the UK? spanning over 13miles? whos turning on your lights? anyone good Ben?
yes i beleive Little Boots is standing which is good i think the reason it was seating at the saturdays as it was at sheffield city hall so not an arena or nightclub

I'm very funny, I know. What's black and white and red? A sunburnt penguin! What's pink and fluffy? Pink fluff! I'm here all week! Do you think Niamh could possibly resist me with those jokes? I think not. Niamh, I'm coming for you babe!
The Burke?! Pixie is certainly better than The Burke. Wow, I didn't know that about Leeds. Mighty impressive. No idea who's doing/done our lights. An electrician maybe? Seems suitable.
Were the seats attached to the floor Ricky, for The Saturdays? If so, seems the wrong venue for them. If not, and it's just a "hall" that's not a reason because I've seen Kasabian, Travis, Athlete etc in "halls" and I've never sat in hall before.
AMAZING NEWS!!! Today, Muse announced they're doing a concert at Wembley Stadium again!!! Next September so it's far off, but the tickets go on sale next Friday. 70,000 tickets available but it still sold out in 45 minutes last time! Got to be on the computer and phone at 9am next Friday!
