I would guess there aren't many Michael Jackson fans here Ricky (there aren't many people here for a start), so i don't think we'll be getting many memories.
R.I.P. Michael. I'll be having a Micheal Jackson day soon.
And one day, i will learn how to do the moonwalk without hurting my legs. As long as i can do a better moonwalk than David Brent, i will be pleased.

Sorry, no Michael Jackson memory from me was never a fan of him or his music (but then again - my music tastes are not exactly broad xP) and the news/gossip about him and children just made me wary, sowwy :/

There was never any evidence of anything of the sort no matter how hard some people tried, but there was evidence throughout his whole life of people making things up to get money out of him. Time and time again. I think 99% of people know it's all a load of nonsense (you look at the music charts on Sunday evening), and if you knew more than the gossip of teenagers at school and newspapers, I'm sure you'd think the same. He was a legend who did a huge thing for music. He was the first black artist to be shown on MTV and millions would tune in to watch his latest videos.

Ben ~ I understand about the gossip that would (doubtlessly) surround any celebrity and no doubt there was a lot of gossip around Michael Jackson. I just meant that the stories (fabricated or not) made me nervous . *Regardless* 50 is a very young age to die at and he did contribute a lot to the musical world although I haven't heard much of it o.O, me being me

He contributed to many forms of music. The Black Eyed Peas, Noisettes and The Streets covered his songs at Glastonbury and U2 also did on the first gig of their world tour a couple of nights back. Rock, pop, dance, hip hop, rnb, music videos, concert production stuff and so many other things wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for Michael Jackson. Legend. Songs like Thriller and Billie Jean will be being played long after we're all gone. If you don't have Thriller Ricky, I'd recommend it to you. Amazing album!
Man In The Mirror is fighting it out with another song to top the UK singles chart this week. Would be awesome. Looks like he may have an even bigger impact on the charts this week! Since he died, he's sold half a million albums in America. I thought everyone had at least 2 copies of Thriller by now! Obviously not.

I've just seen the mid week album sales from someone on the Kasabian site who has a mate who has access to them (i know, it's very "i know someone who knows someone" but it's always been right so far).
Album sales so far this week: 1. La Roux 32.2k 2. Michael Jackson [No.1s) 20.6k 3. Michael Jackson (The Essential) 17.1k 4. Kasabian 11.9k 5. Michael Jackson (King Of Pop) 11k

Can't believe this is 2 days before he died: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b54tTBU_u7k The reports that he couldn't walk proved to be nonsense. They're even making things up after he died.
The albums chart:
1. Michael Jackson - 'The Essential' 2. La Roux – 'La Roux' 3. Michael Jackson – 'Number Ones' 4. Kasabian – 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' 5. Michael Jackson – 'King Of Pop' 6. Michael Jackson - 'Thriller' 7. Paulo Nutini – 'Sunny Side Up' 8. Lady Gaga - 'The Fame' 9. Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band – 'Greatest Hits' 10. Michael Jackson – 'Off The Wall'
and Man In The Mirror went in at number 2 in the singles chart! So close!!!
