This is so random, sorry in advance but I found this on Youtube last night. My kids hadn't seen it before and I showed it to them last night and they were impressed so I thought I'd share it with you guys.
I watched the programme about the preparation for the performance and basically none of the kids ever sang in a choir before this and watching their journey was amazing. It still makes me cry but in a happy way.

Hey Anne. Just watched it. It looked good.
I never saw the show but I know the school is in Leicester isn't it. Because my cousin goes to that school and he was one of those boys. I didn't see him but he's been in a few photos when something has been said about it. He was in the TV Times about a month ago! LOL I never realised he was involved until after the show had finished.

Haha. That's ok. It doesn't matter. Yeah, it is in Leicester. Very small world Anne.
Looked like a good show to watch. I would have loved to have done that when I was at school. When we did music and did singing, it was kind of embarrassing because there'd always be about 7 of us called up to the front. Always ALL girls except me and a friend. On one occasion, he only wanted me. So I was up there singing with about 5 girls. Like I've said before Anne, I sing like a girl.

I watched the show when it was on, and the one before it that he did. I think it's just such a fantastic thing to do, and I'm all for any promotion of singing, it does give you such a high
And Ben - good on you for singing at all!! I have a good friend who along with me was the only constant member of the choir for our five years, but he constantly got teased about singing. Which is a shame, because he's brilliant! I'm waiting for the day that he and Niamh star in a musical together... well it could happen, and I can dream, can't I?
