lol You're right. I'm sure it won't be too scary. Though i did cry when i went to a Leicester game when i was about 10 because we were so high up. And when i went to Newcastle's stadium i was terrified for about 10 minutes. But i guess i was sitting at the top of one of the tallest stadiums in Britain. Right up there: http://img.skysports.com/07/09/480/Newc ... 569689.jpg Though i'm guessing this won't be quite that tall! And yes, i'll give it my best definitely! Unless nerves get the better of me, but i'll fight them off! I'd love to meet her. Say hello and maybe get a photo with her.
Oh shut up Ricky, we were struggling to persuade you to even go man! Going up to her and asking for a photo etc is one thing, then telling her about the site and all. Hmm... i'll leave that to you Ricky.
Yay, let's play games! Can we play games Jo? Where is Jo?

I completely agree Ben - going to a stage door and talking to a performer/asking for an autograph is totally different from admitting that you are obsessed fan who discusses them on a regular basis I've gotten Niamh's autograph a few times and she recognised me as a fan and everything, but I simply don't think I'll have the nerve to mention this site the next time I stage door a show she's in Being 100% hypocritical though, it would be great if she came back onto this site once in a while, but that would involve someone having the guts to mention it

It would be super if Niamh came back on to say hello. I don't know what other fan site things she has. And are they actually still being visited? We're her biggest fans, woooo!
Ricky, "if i go". Hmm... I wonder.
Hey Lauren. Nice to have you on. I hope you stick around and chat. There are a few of us left clinging on!
I think my "You sound like my type of girl Kat" comment has scared her off! Sorry Kat, come back to us!
The album sales so far this week: 1 Kasabian 16.1k 2 Paolo Nutini 11.5k 3 Take That 8.3k 4 Dream Theater 7.2k 5 Daniel M 7.1k
No idea what Dream Theatre is. Anyway, Kasabian heading for their 3rd week at number 1! Being popular doesn't mean anything at all, but it's fun to see a band i've liked for 5/6 years doing well in the other way. I wonder if the weird dancing man has it?

I spoke of the weird dancing man before Ricky. The guy that started slapping himself at one of the Kasabian gigs i went to... I wonder if he's been doing it in front of the mirror. Or in Tesco. I hope you see Niamh too Ricky. If you want to, you can. Remember that. And last night on msn, you asked me how i get to know about bands that don't chart yes? Well, i saw this today: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/ju ... al-kingdom At the bottom it mentions other similar bands. I like Animal Kingdom, i like Snow Patrol, i like Keane so i'd think to myself "hmm... i wonder then if i'd like Sigur Ros or Mercury Rev." See? It's there if you WANT it, like i said last night. You first have to WANT to listen to music and discover new stuff and also learn not to dismiss something too easily. And like i said, you like Duffy and i'm sure she gets asked a lot what influences her or what music she listens to. If you don't know of something she says, look them up and see for yourself.
Haha, nice to see you're back with us Kat. And that i didn't scare you off. From where i'm sitting your avatar isn't working. It looks very sad all empty and waiting for Niamh.
When Jo comes back, she can hopefully tell us about the games!

The earliest music i ever listened to was Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5. I remember being about 6 or whatever and singing along to Beat It. I LOVE all his early stuff. There are celebrities, there are stars, there are super stars, there are mega stars and then there is Michael Jackon.
R.I.P.

Well, it won't be really. 9/11 changed the world Ricky. But Michael Jackson changed pop music. Especially videos. People didn't make videos before Michael Jackson and then he came along and made 13 minute long short films for his songs. Now we don't think about videos, every single has a video. Thriller is brilliant. Watch it. Life moves on and the world keeps turning. But it's a shocking and sad day. I went up and told my Mum and Dad. Dad was shocked. He was what made me a fan in the first place when i was too young to even remember. I remember listening to his albums on cassette. Makes me feel a bit old. Thriller is one of my favourite albums i own (on CD now ) and is the biggest selling album ever. Like 70million. He released ALL BUT 2 songs from that album as a single. Just imagine that these days Ricky. Anyway, there we go. Life goes on, though i do feel a bit sad tonight.

On the iTunes album chart, Michael Jackson has 8 albums in the top 10. And in the video chart, the top 30 is pretty much full of Michael Jackson videos. *counts* 22.

I wouldn't delete it Ricky, I just moved it. I think it's in a better place now. Hope that's ok.
I still can't believe it. I considered getting tickets for his shows in London next month. But you know what, I knew they wouldn't happen, so I didn't try. I never thought it would be because of this though, but I knew he couldn't perform like he used to, and this was 50 huge shows. It's no coincedence it's happened a couple of weeks before his shows start. I'm still in shock. I've listened to his music for as long as I can remember. His stuff in the late 60s and 70s with his brothers and his solo stuff through the 80s. It was around 1990 when things started to go a bit weird, so I never really got to experience him properly. C4 have been showing some videos this past hour and finishing right now with Thriller. He'll never be forgotten.

Just curious - are there going to be refunds for those O2 tickets? People in school were talking about it today and some made jokes about him that was quite rude :/ I'm just sitting on the fence here, lol
Hm, and my avatar's broken :/ need to go upload another Niamh piccy
