I've been posting on the Kasabian site for about 2 months now. One of the big fans who's been to loads of gigs and collects everything etc, died in a car crash on Saturday afternoon. On her way to see Kasabian i believe. I didn't speak to her much but we had the fact we were both Jersey Budd fans in common which meant we spoke from time to time. Really shocking. So sad. It's weird when you hear something like that. Makes me think about life...

Yeah. Poor girl. That was the first time she ever spoke out to the world. Hardly ever seen her face before. He did a good job keeping his kids away from everything 'celebrity'. Michael was famous at 5, a super star at 10. No wonder he wanted to protect his kids from all that. I listened to "Bad" the other night. My favourite Michael Jackson album. Songs like Smooth Criminal, Dirty Diana, Liberian Girl, The Way You Make Me Feel. It's brilliant! And he wrote all those himself. In fact 9/11 songs he wrote himself on that album.
The Ashes starts today! Come on England!
Come on Ricky, you've stopped beating my Nintendo faces thing high score. Took me a while to work out!

It's an easy game. Why are you so far off my score? Need some tips? And i am waiting for Zippy to beat my Mario score...
So Ricky, Leeds today confirmed they've received 2 offers for Delph and 2 "approaches" for Beckford. Still think they're going to stay? You got tickets for Blackburn?
Oh and i got this news the other day: http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,, ... 47,00.html I was so disappointed at first. We planned on going to the game on Saturday and seeing Niamh on Friday of course. But now the match is on Friday night because it's on Sky! But we've been able to change tickets to the Saturday so we're seeing the match on Friday night and seeing Niamh on Saturday night. We had to send the Friday tickets back, and when they receive them, they'll send out the Saturday night tickets.

It should work out right. As long as I see Niamh, I'm happy. I'll see Leicester around 30 times this next season anyway. lol
Big score for you to beat Zippy.
I'm away on holiday in Swanage, Dorset this week. Very weak wi-fi connection for my iPod Touch so should be able to post the odd thing but won't be playing any games til I get back. Make the most of it everyone!
Doubt you'll be keeping Delph. You might keep Beckford but plenty of Championship clubs interested. We're after a striker for example.

I haven't had much of a chance to come on here or to play any of the games recently, so that's why your mario score hasn't been beaten yet Ben! Just thought you should know Although I promise I did actually beat it the day you got it but again I'd been logged out by that point. Blah.
I saw 'a little night music' again today, still an absolutely stunning production with amazing performances, although Jessie still needs some improving. She was good though

Is everyone well? Hugs for you all. I hope you're all well and happy.
Are people on their holidays? Just got back from mine. Niamh tickets just inside the door as we came back. So we successfully got them changed.
Ricky, you got your Blackburn tickets yet? I'm seeing Leicester on Saturday. 7 days time. Away somewhere. Can't remember who! Chesterfield or Shrewsbury. Only 3 weeks until the season starts! And England are doing great in the second test of The Ashes. Amazing stuff!
Cheerio friends. Hope you're all ok.

I'm here now! I've booked theatre tickets way more in advance than this Ben, trust me, the time will fly! Although speaking of, I'd hoped I would be able to see her before I go on holiday, but it's looking like not When I have the money, I'll go, but this show doesn't seem to have any ticket offers!

congrats on getting those tickest *jealous xD* I'm still recruiting people to go. My friends have dropped out *shakes fist* cos they thought I was talking about Wicked - which we ARE going to see...some time soon. But I will defo go see Niamh before too much time has gone by
Saw Harry Potter 6 today! It was a nice film, in terms of HP-ness, but a rather bland one as a film. I liked it only cos its HP xP but 2.5 hrs is wayyyy too long.
*SPOILERS* And those book inaccuracies annoyed me. Like Tonks is meant to find Harry on the train, not Luna. And Slughorn missed the Dark Mark at his house, not the dragon's blood that was noticed by dumbledore! And they never really explained horcruxes and the significance of their placement. The lightning-struck tower was missing, as was a lot of the plot AND the exciting battle at the end. Aragog got shrunk to about a hundredth of his initial size when he died o_O and Harry never go the note about it from Hagrid. When Dumbledore died only Snape, Malfoy and Harry (stunned under an invisibility cloak) were there, not the entire group of death eaters! And Fenrir Greyback was never shown as a werewolf, just a hulk-lookalike with a bald head and ugly features.
You can see I'm quite annoyed about it xD but I liked it nevertheless. *END SPOILERS*

Wow. I'm glad someone agrees with me that it wasn't such a great film I'm not a big Harry Potter fan anyway, and I'm sure that played a part in me not loving it, but I agree that they should have spent more time on the plot/mythology stuff rather than try and fail with all that teen romance. It bothered me in a similar way to in the book, as it just seemed irrelevant and unnecessary and I wouldn't have minded it if it had been executed well, but instead I just found it a bit embarrassing Sure, the actors are still young, but they hardly count as child actors any more, and tons of other actors have given wonderful performances at their age in other stuff. Sorry, didn't mean that to turn into such a rant, I'm not as annoyed at the film as it might look. It was fun anyway.
Aww Katzie I hope you do find a way to see Niamh! It will be worth it, even if you're not seeing it with who you'd hoped! I'm probably going to end up seeing it with my mum, who incidently is thrilled that I actually want to see that show now Wicked is good though!

It's decided, I'm going to see Niamh with an explorer scout friend although when, I'm not sure.
Having read the wiki entry for HP6, apparently it's only the third longest film so far cos HP2 and HP4 was longer by 2 mins and 10 mins (not sure if it's respectively) but I swear HP2 was not over 2hr30 mins long :/

Kate!!! Yay! Lovely to see you on. How are you? Thanks for the PM.
Ricky, you're right. The season is so close! I hope you didn't not get tickets to see Blackburn because you genuinely want to start with a proper game. That's a cool reason. Hope it isn't because of your normal excuses. Advice: Look at the fixture list. Pick a game. Look to see when the tickets go on sale, and the day they do... get tickets! Cheer on your team! Yes, you've signed Kisnorbo. He was at Leicester for the past 4 years Ricky. Including last season. But he had 2 big injuries and started about 4 games and featured at all in only around 6 or 7 last season. He played poor. That's why we released him when his contract finished in June. We have 4 better defenders in that position. All who played good roles in our success last season. However, saying that, like I say he had 2 big injuries and I just don't think he was ready to play again and with a proper pre-season under his belt (he'd been training with Derby) he should do a very good job for you. He can't pass a ball to save his life, but he's strong and has a bit of pace. In his 4 seasons at Leicester I think he won our "player of the season" award twice, so he did good for us over all. Just not last season. And he's not right for us now. Once fully fit he'll be very good for you in League One.
Oh and I'm looking forward to you beating some of my scores Ricky. I want some competition!
Zippy, you're right. I'm sure the time will fly by. Still, over 3 months til I see her! Argh! Hope you get to go sooner than that! Why do you continue to watch and read Harry Potter when you obviously don't like it?
Kat, I'll be seeing Potter soon. Probably next Friday. Looking forward to it! And I hope you get to see Niamh. Seems like you may have it sorted which is great!
Hope everyone is happy, healthy and well.

That's great that you've found someone who wants to see it Katzie! I'm hoping for a lovely 5 page review from you Honestly though, the more rambling the better, and it's guaranteed to have more substance than my ones
That's a good question about HP Ben. I think it's partly because once I'd started the series I didn't want to leave it unfinished when everyone else would be talking about the ending. And I partly saw the film because my friends wanted to see it. But I don't hate it that much, or at all really I think I just tend to insult it a lot as an unintentional reaction to so many other people loving it Balance, you know?

I'll be sure to bring a notepad and pen to note down all the amazing bits and all the Niamh uber-highlighted bits and will include many, many squealing from me. And hopefully an autograph from her too!
I think the quality of HP kind of dwindled as the series went on - although my experience with films is holey so I don't know about the films. It's entertaining enough, but the storyline gets worse and worse after the fourth :/
